Team & seats

Most plans include team seats — invite teammates so they can use Banyan under your subscription.

Inviting a teammate

  1. Settings → Account → Team → Invite member.
  2. Enter their email address.
  3. Pick a role (see below).
  4. Click Send invite. They get an email with a one-time signup link.

Invites expire after 7 days. You can resend or revoke from the same page.

The owner is whoever created the account — only they can transfer ownership, and only via support (support@banyan.app).

Removing a member

Settings → Account → Team → ⋯ next to their name → Remove. Their access is cut immediately. Anything they created (Canopy posts, Outpilot campaigns, etc.) stays under your team — ownership transfers to the account owner.

Frequently asked questions

How are seats counted?

Active members + pending invites count against your plan’s seat limit. Removed members don’t count. Viewer-only members count the same as full members on most plans.

Can two people connect the same LinkedIn account?

No — each LinkedIn account is owned by one Banyan user. If a teammate needs to take over an account, the current owner disconnects it and the new person re-connects.

What if I exceed my seat limit?

Pending invites can’t be sent past your plan’s seat limit. Existing members aren’t kicked out if you downgrade — but you can’t replace them with new members until you’re back under the cap.
