Calendar
The Calendar is a visual grid of scheduled and published posts. Use it to:
- See what’s queued for the next 7 / 30 days.
- Drag drafts onto specific time slots.
- Spot gaps (days with no post scheduled).
Layout
Two viewing modes via the top-right toggle:
- Week — current week, hour-of-day rows. Best for fine-grained scheduling.
- Month — current month, day cells. Best for the big-picture cadence view.
Left rail — drafts
The left side shows your DRAFT posts as draggable cards (newest
first). Each card has:
- First line of the post.
- Source pill (Compose / Bulk / Agent / AI Chat).
- Char count.
Slot grid
The grid shows every weekly schedule slot you’ve configured at Settings → Posting Schedule. Open slots are empty cells; occupied slots show the scheduled post’s first line + account avatar.
Color coding:
- Empty / open — gray. Drag a draft here to fill.
- Scheduled — blue. Click for the post detail.
- Published — green (Week view, in-the-past slots).
- Failed — red. Click for the error message.
Drag-to-schedule
The core interaction:
- Pick a draft from the left rail.
- Drag it onto any open slot in the grid.
- Drop confirms — the draft becomes
SCHEDULEDwith that slot’s timestamp.
Conflicts (two drafts onto the same slot) get a red highlight — drop is rejected.
Off-slot scheduling
Want to publish at 11 a.m. on a Tuesday but your weekly schedule has
no 11 a.m. slot? Click the empty space in the Week-view grid at the
target time — Canopy creates an ad-hoc slot just for that post. The
post is SCHEDULED; your weekly schedule is unchanged.
Reschedule / unschedule
- Reschedule — drag a scheduled card to a different slot. Status
stays
SCHEDULED;scheduledAtupdates. - Unschedule — drag a scheduled card back to the left rail (or
click the card → Unschedule). Status reverts to
DRAFT.
Week navigation
Top of the calendar:
< Prev/Next >— move one week (or month) at a time.- Today — jump back to the current week.
- Pick a date — calendar dropdown.
Month view nuances
Month view is read-only by design — drag-to-schedule is too imprecise at month resolution. Click any day to drop into Week view focused on that day, then schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Why don’t I see slots on the calendar?
You haven’t configured a weekly schedule yet. Visit Settings → Posting Schedule and add at least one day-of-week + time pair.
Can I schedule the same draft to publish twice?
No — once scheduled, the draft becomes a single SCHEDULED post. To
publish similar content twice, duplicate the draft (My Posts → ⋯ →
Duplicate) and schedule both.
What timezone does the calendar use?
The timezone you set at Settings → Posting Schedule. Slot times display in that zone. Switching timezones rebases slot times to match — useful when you travel or your audience is in a different region.
