Leads

A lead in Outpilot is a person you might want to reach. Leads are organized into lead lists that you attach to campaigns.

What’s in this section

Lead anatomy

A lead has these fields:

  • Required: linkedinUrl (the canonical identifier).
  • Standard: firstName, lastName, email, company, title, industry, location, headline.
  • Custom: any number of customField.X = Y pairs you bring in via CSV.

Outpilot dedupes by linkedinUrl — adding the same URL twice (in the same list, in different lists, in the same campaign) is a no-op.

States

Each lead has a campaign-scoped state:

StateMeaning
unenrolledIn the list but not yet entered any campaign
enrolledCurrently in flight in at least one campaign
repliedReplied to outreach in any campaign
completedReached End of every campaign they were in
pausedManually paused or auto-paused due to error
skippedA specific step couldn’t run; lead continues

The state is per-campaign, so a lead can be replied in Campaign A and enrolled in Campaign B simultaneously.
